NextOne Foundation

NextOne Foundation came out of my own experience going through the job search as a club athlete. A lot of the career development resources on campus are built around varsity athletes — people who are already getting academic and professional support as part of their program. Club athletes don't get any of that, even though a lot of the same skills carry over.

The fellowship is a free, three-month program for collegiate club athletes, fully remote, running September through November. Each month focuses on a different part of the job search: resume and personal branding first, then internship search strategy, then networking and interviewing. Members get both group sessions and 1-on-1 coaching throughout the program.

I built the website and handle the program coordination. The idea behind it is pretty straightforward — club athletes already have the discipline and resilience from their sport. They just need the right framing and some practical guidance to translate that into a job search. A lot of them are more prepared than they think.
